We would love to be able to accept everything that is offered to us when we are open, however we do advise that if you are making a long journey, or have a lot to donate then please call us first on 01430 819698 as we are a small non profit shop and if we have too many donations we simply don't have room to safely store them.

​If we have had a lot of donations and the shop is full you will see a notice on the website, it will be stated on our Facebook page and also in our windows and on the doors at The Acorns.​

Please remember that we are not a big shop, we are just a small local community shop, run by local volunteers, who are raising funds that go directly back into our community!

It is very frustrating for our staff and volunteers to put this sign out and refuse donations, but we are all doing our very best with the limited space we have, so we would be really grateful if you could accept our apologies if we cannot accept your donations on occasion.

 

We advise looking at the list below as we have to turn away donations regularly that we cannot accept such as children's cots/beds, non ce marked toys & electrical items, duvets, pillows and safety gear such as helmets and car seats. We ask that you please do not leave any of these items as it costs us money to dispose of them which in turn means less money for our community.
